Apple iPhone 3G S Average Rating: 7.22 / 10

Brand: Apple Date Added: Oct 18 2009 Number of Reviews So Far: 9 View Reviews
The iPhone 3G S has bought vast improvements over the previous iPhone 3G. The S stands for speed and Apple have made this their most responsive phone yet, making it a joy to use. As well as a faster CPU, the 3G S has a much better camera, a compass, video camera and more storage. The phone also has an updated operating system, iPhone OS 3.0.
For ease of texting there's an intelligent Multi-Touch keyboard that predicts words as you type, and the iPhone now has cut, copy and paste functionality. MMS is also a new addition, so the new improved camera can be made use of by picture messaging.
To keep the iPhone 3G S looking good, the screen has a special oleophobic coating which reduces screen smears.

Aside from the obvious functinality, the selection of games on offer is mind boggling, and the motin monitoring really does add something to it. Watching TV via the iPlayer (over wifi) proved to be both intuitive and hitch free.
The phone is very sturdy and sleek, making many 'modern' mobiles look somewhat old fashined and the screen size is very impressive indeed. It certainly isn't cheap, but you won't regret going for this option as your next mobile phone purchase. This gets a 9 out of 10 from me!

I don't care for the subscription/rental rate, but to go down the ipod touch route limits some of the great functions of this device. It is no wonder it is such a great seller.

Although there are apps now that allow video on non 3gs iphones, I would still have to go for the 3gs, it allows you to send huge videos by email, edit mms's and the quality is excellent.
Even the size doesnt seem to be a problem, infact its part of the iphones appeal, huge screen to get on with your life, be that business, pleasure or leisure.
More and more internet sites are iphone ready, so no need to constantly zoom in and out. And with the app store full of web sites own apps, they look and operate better than the standard web version.
Watch TV, all the freeview channels can be seen at tvcatchup.com and sky have 3 months free to watch all of their channels, sky sports1 2 3, sky sports news, sky news and espn to mention just a few. BBC iplayer can be accessed while connected to wifi, perfect when your sat in macdonalds having a sly burger.
For the musically minded, there are numerous piano apps, but my favourites include, ocarina - You can play this instrument blowing into your microphone, you have to see it to believe it, and leaf trumbone, both allow you to play your songs to the world.
I recently travelled through europe, and when climbing slowly in traffic, i used the my altitude app, and astonishingly, we were at almost 10,000 feet, Ok I don't need this app day to day, but hey its free and gave some information that made the kids go wow, it only took 20 minutes or so to then tell them what feet was and have them understand.
Games of course are massive on the iphone, there are tons of them, action and arcade to trivial pursuit and scrabble, along with some amazing effect games, which utilise the iphones sublime motion monitoring, my favourite being aqua forest.
So if your looking for a robust phone that allows you to tweet while you eat, check your stocks in just your socks and defeat the empire with your light saber, ok the last one never rhymed, but hey enough corn, the iphone is excellent, go see what deals there are and find out for yourself.
Oh yes, apple do rather good ipods, the iphone of course has one of those too!
Well I could go on, but go find out for yourself.

As the years go on and on I can only see them getting more and more popular. I couldn’t be without mine awesome gadget for all sorts of uses.
